Windows 7 furthermore above have special ability toward shrink partition furthermore create a new one without losing any data furthermore formatting existing partition. Before creating a new partition from old one, make sure the existing drive is 50% empty so that you don’t lose any data
How toward partition hard drive without formatting in Win7 ?Step 1: Right-click at Computer in Start menu furthermore select Manage
Step 2: Double-click at Storage furthermore then select Disk Management
Step 3: In this screen you see all the drives present at your computer.
Suppose you want toward partition drive D which has size regarding 20GB furthermore want toward create another drive G regarding 10GB from drive D, so right-click at drive D furthermore select option Shrink
Step 4: In next windows, type in 10000 beneficial to 10GB in Enter the amount regarding space toward Shrink in MB option, you can replace 10000(for 10GB) with anything else regarding your choice

Step 10: Click next furthermore then finish, wait beneficial to awhile furthermore Tana! your new drive has been created without formatting any other drive
