The webisodes are animated with 2.5D style, where flat 2D illustrations are brought to life in 3D space. The first season was created and written by Dexter producer/writer, Lauren Gussis. She was nominated for a Webby for her writing on the first season.The eighth and final season of Dexter premiered on June 30, 2013.^[3] The season follows Dexter, who is forced to deal with his past when he comes across Dr. Evelyn Vogel, a woman who claims to have structured the code for him alongside Harry.
